Convenient ways to pay for your Global Engagement Trip.

 

At the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA, we understand that every traveler’s financial situation is unique.

 

To make our Global Engagement Trips more accessible, we offer flexible payment options so you can choose what works best for you.

Option 1 — Pay in Full

  • Participants may choose to pay the full trip balance at the time of registration.

  • No additional fees apply. This option is recommended for those who wish to secure their spot quickly and avoid any added costs.

  • The full balance must be paid at least 30 days prior to departure to maintain your reservation and avoid a 10% administrative fee.

 

Option 2 — 12-Month Payment Plan

  • A 10% service fee is added to the total trip cost to cover administrative and processing expenses associated with long-term payment management.

  • 20% of the total trip fee is due upon registration. Only the remaining balance and administrative fee may be financed over 12 months.

  • Payments are due on the first of each month and begin on the first of the month immediately following registration, continuing monthly for the remainder of the term.

  • Payments may be made by automatic credit card or bank draft only.

  • Airfare and the “When in the Neighborhood” program are ineligible for payment plans.

  • Any payments made within 30 days prior to the trip departure are non-refundable.

 

Example (Trip Cost: $2,500):
$2,500 + $250 (10% administrative fee) = $2,750
$2,750 - $500 deposit = $2,250
Total payment plan balance: $2,250 over 12 months
Monthly payments: $187.50 for 12 months

 

Option 3 — Financial Assistance

The YMCA is committed to ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent individuals from participating in meaningful service experiences. Limited financial assistance may be available for qualified applicants based on demonstrated need and available funding. Assistance typically covers a portion of program or ground fees and does not include airfare or personal expenses.

  • Applications must be submitted and approved prior to registration.

  • Approved recipients may still utilize the 12-month payment plan to finance their remaining balance after assistance is applied.

  • Financial assistance is not available for the “When in the Neighborhood” add-on program or any optional extensions.

 

Important Notes

  • The 10% service fee applies only to participants who choose the 12-month payment option.

  • Financing applies only to program and ground fees; airfare and personal travel costs must be paid separately.

  • Trip deposits and payments are non-refundable 60 days from departure, but may be transferred to another eligible participant under certain circumstances.

  • Payment plans are managed through the YMCA Business Office, and automatic monthly payments are required for all payment plan participants.

 

Financial Responsibility

The YMCA takes financial commitments very seriously. By registering for a Global Engagement Trip, participants agree to fulfill all payment obligations under their selected plan.

  • Accounts that fall 60 days past due will be subject to suspension of participation and will be turned over to a third-party collection agency for recovery. Additional fees and costs associated with collection may apply.

 

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we ensure that all trip funds are handled responsibly and that our programs remain sustainable for everyone involved.
