Visiting Piedras Negras offers a chance to experience authentic Mexican culture, delicious cuisine, and the heartfelt community work of the YMCA Border Home, which supports deported youth.  Just across the border, San Antonio provides a vibrant mix of history and charm, with iconic attractions like the Alamo and the scenic River Walk.  Together, these destinations showcase the beauty of cultural exchange, rich traditions, and unforgettable experiences on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Hola! I’m Cheryl McCarver, and I’m excited to lead the YMCA Mexico trip this year. With decades of experience in YMCA trip leadership, I’ve had the privilege of guiding many transformative journeys.

 

This trip is a great opportunity for first-timers or those with limited time. We pack a lot into this brief experience, and it’s a meaningful journey that offers deep cultural insights and lasting memories.
